Our Life with the economy, leisure and tourism
The weather forecast says the day is departing to be bright with adequate sunshine warranting some leisure activity. I have planned on exiting out to see a friend in Greenwich, with the design to visit the Greenwich Maritime Museum. Good story, I have been dwelling in London for so many years and despite my profession in Leisure and Tourism, it has never occurred to me to see this renowned world geographical attraction.
In anticipation, I got ready to break this taboo.

Greece Beckons For Tourist
With all the clout about Greece economic crisis, I will like to remind my readers that the country is one of the best destinations on the Eastern Mediterranean. Every country has got an economic crisis and Greece is not an exception. This should not dampen our perceptions to experience and enjoy one of the best and acclaimed tourism destination in the world.
In my erstwhile days to learn about Eastern Mediterranean destinations , one of my quest was to spend my weekends in Greece mostly in Thessaloniki.
Hospitals and Hospitalities
Do you think our hospitals have overstretched their Hospitalities. I quite recollect in the 70s and 80s when our hospitals are just dotted with small Cafe serving daily breakfast concept menu only. Over the years, circumstances have changed in the United Kingdom.
This the case of Queens Hospital on my visit today. Now, this is not about criticism. It's about impact of Hospitality on patients, guests and staff who has a strong connection with the hospital. I was expecting a wow factor on the first architectural impression of the hospital and I got it.

Visit Ibadan-Fantastic Nigerian City
My journey to Nigeria from London, United Kingdom was
uneventful, but until I touched down in Ibadan.
Ibadan, is a fantastic city, is very well known as the biggest city in West Africa, with its corrugated tinted roofs. It seems to me highly congested from the hill when you are coming in from the Lagos-Ibadan express road. Hey
Ibadan, it’s been some time.

The benefit of taken a walk with a loved one
How many of you have ever thought that taking a walk in the cool evening or early morning could be beneficial to your wellbeing.
Very few indeed.
It's rather unusual but my eldest son one morning woke me up. "We are going for a walk",
he quietly informed me. I was taken by surprise, but tell me, how many will not
at 06.00 in the morning?
He wanted to jog, and so I read, "Take it easy, you said to take a walk". I was still dazed from being roused up at my unusual time and not quite sure what he was up to. So we walked.

The Ever Zealous Boniface.....
The Ambitious Boniface
Believe me when I say, I Boniface want to be empowered to do many things in this life. He was a concerned individual who approached me with a story of his life. Looking at his background, he indeed has come a long way with many challenges. Unperturbed, those challenges are what made him to seek empowerment, irrespective of his background.
Travel and Tourism Shoutouts
The importance of travel and tourism cannot be over emphasised in that it’s a passport to creating destinations wealth by using its environmental potential resources as an invisible trade. Travel and tourism is sold as an experienced. This is why many destinations worldwide are investing in travel and tourism and as a socio-economic progress, “creating jobs and enterprises, export revenues and infrastructural development”. (UNWTO, 2015).
Travel and Tourism Shout Out is here to promote those benefits to communities most especially, areas of less developed economies. This blog site is in collaboration with www.aspiretourismandeducation.com (Aspire Tourism Consultancy Limited) with its Facebook fan page at Aspire Tourism and Education and UpGradeNigeriawithTourism.
Safety and Terrorism in Destinations
The fear of terrorist in destination and the safety of tourist
The safest destinations in the world as recently outlined by the Institute for Economics and Peace has become a source for debate and most countries especially some in Africa hasten to deny the algorithm including that of the Global Peace Index as unpalatable for their taste. They argued that this will drive tourist away from their country or rather as an unfavourable place for economic development and should not have been published.
Building-Up Nigerian Tourism
Building-up Nigerian Tourism
The particular amplification of this article was prompted by the recent
journey to Nigeria in the quest for the establishment of a viable tourism
consultancy within the country. It was also inspired by my erstwhile students
of Travel and Tourism who complained that there is trivial or no academic
journal or information about tourism development and management in Nigeria.

The Attraction and Faces of London Restaurants
The rate at which different
restaurants are cropping up with different concepts is quite amazing. In the
’70s and 80, ’s the debates were centred on American and Mediterranean food
concepts with little known of other national cuisines. Concepts such as
MacDonald, Kentucky Fried Chicken and restaurants such as My Kinda Town theme,
Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock Cafe which are still in existence till date.
